Visitazione
The altarpiece of the "Visitation" (San Biagio in Lendinara) is signed "Sebastianus Pictor Faciebat / MDXXV", and has been for a long time an attributive enigma. Today criticism tends to identify "Sebastianus" in Sebastiano Filippi, father of that Camillo who collaborated with Garofalo in Belriguardo and Montagnola Este delights. Even Sebastiano was interested in Garofalo painting: the Lendinara shovel was inspired openly to the Garofalo's "Visitation" today at the Doria Pamphili Gallery (1518).
