The “Cycle of Months” is a cycle of frescoes adorning the “Salone dei mesi” (Hall of Months) in Palazzo Schifanoia,Ferrara. Around 1470 Borso of Este commissioned the fresco to the most relevant artists of the time in Ferrara, such as Francesco del Cossa and Ercole de' Roberti. This work encloses all the profane Renaissance culture – with clear references to neoplatonic and astrological tradition.
